    Welcome to The Therapist Den, where you'll find a safe and empowering space on your journey towards wholeness. I'm Yashica, a seasoned mental health therapist with over two decades of clinical knowledge and experience. My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that hope is the catalyst for change. By helping you challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, I aim to set you free to embrace transformation.

     

    In our therapeutic journey together, my primary goal is to meet you where you are, acknowledging and understanding your unique experiences with empathy. I believe that every individual's story is worth hearing and that you possess the strength within to navigate life's challenges.

     

    My clinical style can be described as interactive, attentive, and engaging. I'm committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment that nurtures growth, insight, and healing. Through our collaboration, we'll delve into your inner world, seeking to unearth the underlying causes of your pain. By addressing these root causes, we can work towards holistic healing.

     

    Therapy is a sacred space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and without judgment. Together, we will uncover the tools you need to access and expand your capacity for leading your best life. It's my belief that everyone has the potential for positive change, and my role is to guide and support you on this transformative journey.

    Understanding that the need for support can arise at anytime, I have implemented a process to prioritize your therapeutic needs while assessing the best possible fit for our work together.

     

    To initiate this process, please email me with the subject line: "Individual Therapy." please follow the instructions below:

    1. In the email, please provide a brief overview of what brings you to therapy. This will help me better understand your needs and ensure I can provide the appropriate support.
    2. Please let me know if there are any urgent concerns, such as self-injurious behaviors (e.g., cutting, skin picking) or suicidal thoughts, so I can assess the situation appropriately.
    3. If you were referred by your insurance, please include the name of your insurance company.
    4. If you were referred by a doctor, psychistrist or hospital, please include the name of referring hospital and/or doctor.

    Please note that I currently only offer in-person sessions, so kindly indicate your availability for in-person appointments.
